Standards#

Standards is the catalog of compliance standards maintained by Mobile2b. Adopting a standard makes its severity scale available for grading findings.

Mobile2b encodes each standard and ships updates when the standards body publishes a revision.

The catalog#

Standards are grouped by category. Use the category filter above the list to narrow it.

Category Standards
Automotive IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, Layered Process Audit (LPA)
Food IFS Food v8, ISO 22000, BRCGS Food Safety v9
Quality ISO 9001
EHS ISO 45001, ISO 14001
Information Security ISO 27001, TISAX

The figure at the top of the page counts your adopted standards against the catalog total.

View a severity scale#

Select the grade count in the Severities column to expand a standard. Each grade shows:

Column Content
Grade The name of the grade, for example Major, C or KO.
Requires What the standard requires for that grade: information only, a corrective action, or a corrective action with a formal root-cause analysis.
Deadline Days allowed to resolve a finding of that grade.
Meaning A description of the grade, with the clause it comes from.

A KO badge marks a knock-out grade, which is severe enough to block certification on its own.

The expanded view also shows the source document the catalog entry represents.

Clause references

Several standards are licensed documents that Mobile2b does not redistribute. Where the exact subsection is not confirmed, the citation names the part of the document instead.

Adopt a standard#

Select Adopt on the row. Two things happen:

  1. The standard is marked as adopted for your account, and the row keeps a marker.
  2. A management system is created, named after the standard and bound to it.

See Management systems for what to configure next.

Remove a standard#

Hover an adopted row and select Remove.

Removing un-adopts the standard. It does not delete the management system that was created, and it does not change findings already graded against it.

Raising findings against a standard#

Adopting a standard makes its grades available. A grade only produces a finding when a checklist question names it in a non-conformance rule.

See Checklist items.

Notes and limits#

  • The catalog is read-only. To grade against rules of your own, use a management system with its own scale, see Management systems.
  • Some standards carry no encoded scale yet. IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, LPA, BRCGS Food Safety v9, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and TISAX have a name and publisher only, and findings against them are captured without a grade, deadline or corrective workflow.
  • A standard is adopted for the whole account, not for one site.
